Aly Dearborn
LMFT
Aly Dearborn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive training in trauma-informed care and over 20 years of clinical experience supporting survivors of childhood abuse and neglect. Drawing from decades of personal therapy and professional work, Aly integrates a broad range of perspectives, modalities, and approaches to treatment - ranging from the more scientific (e.g, polyvagal theory) to the creative expressive arts. A graduate of Lesley University (MA, Counseling Psychology, 2004), Aly's training is grounded in the “person centered” or “Rogerian” model, which believes that people have the inherent capacity for self-understanding and to make positive, growth-directed changes when they are in the right therapeutic relationship, which includes empathy and unconditional positive regard. She enjoys working collaboratively with individual adults and specializes in women's mental health.
